The Murray-Calloway County Hospital Board of Trustees will meet at noon on the fourth Wednesday of the month in the hospital's Garrison Board Room and via Zoom (call 270-762-1102 for Zoom connection details).
MURRAY – For 49 years, Murray-Calloway County Hospital has predominantly sourced its blood supply through the MCCH Blood Donor Center. While the hospital has relied on the American Red Cross over the years for assistance sourcing rare blood types or certain blood products, on Jan. 1, it will transition to meeting all of its blood supply needs through the Red Cross and close the Blood Donor Center.
MURRAY – For decades, navigating the campus of Murray-Calloway County Hospital (MCCH) required a compass – there was the south tower, the north tower, the west entrance. Those days are no more. Now, entrances are both numbered and color-coded.
MURRAY – The Foundation at Murray-Calloway County Hospital is getting ready for fundraising season, and first up is the annual golf tournament, scheduled for Sept. 15.

MURRAY – The Murray-Calloway County Hospital Board of Trustees voted to extend CEO Jerry Penner’s contract for one more year at its meeting Wednesday, but Penner made it clear that, once this extension expires, he will be retiring.

MURRAY – Murray-Calloway County Hospital (MCCH) is in the midst of a baby boom. Administrators, who worked feverishly throughout the summer to be ready for a record number of deliveries expected over the next three weeks, were able to breathe a sigh of relief Monday as the hospital opened a new postpartum unit before the next anticipated wave.
