Mrs. Peggy Jo Cleaver Doores, age 85, of Antioch, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Mrs. Doores was born on April 30, 1941, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Hoyt Cleaver and Dommie (Coplen) Cleaver. She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ Faith. Peggy loved playing the piano, quilting, sewing, and spending time with her precious grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Doores, one daughter, Debby Jo Doores; one grandson, Zachary Tyler Wolfe; five sisters, Hilda Kesterson, Mayme Beauton Guthrie, Vivian Humphreys, Virgina Burkeen, and Datha McCallon; as well as two brothers, Marshall Cleaver and Hoyt Cleaver, Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Lynn Wolfe and husband John of Scottsboro, Alabama; two sons, Randy Thomas Doores and wife Treva of Nashville, Tennessee and Richard Wayne Doores and wife Tina of LaVergne, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Cody Thomas Doores and wife Leighton of Birmingham, Alabama, Nicholas Fisher Doores and wife Abby of Nashville, Tennessee, Cassidy Jo Ramsey of LaVergne, Tennessee, Calab Jake Wayne Doores and wife Paige of Nashville, Tennessee, David Lee Wolfe II of Huntsville, Alabama, and Larissa Lynn Hipps and husband Tyler of Augusta, Georgia; as well as seven great grandchildren, Karow Elisabeth Doores, Ellis Kennington Doores, and Jay Thomas Doores all of Birmingham, Alabama, Raya Lynn Doores and Redding Fisher Doores both of Nashville, Tennessee, and Ryder Wayne Doores and River Wilson Doores both of Nashville, Tennessee.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Jim Faughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Kirksey, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Monday, October 26, 2026, at the J.H. topChurchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
