Mrs. Janet (Boswell) Kirk, age 90, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, at her home.
Mrs. Kirk was born on August 19, 1936, in Troy, New York, to the late Henry Aird Boswell and Margaret Field Barrett. Janet was a 1958 graduate of Florida State University with a B.S. in Nursing. She was a retired nurse with the Calloway County School System and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Roy Vernon Kirk; brother, Henry Aird Boswell Jr.; two sons in laws, Tommy Ward and Robin Phelps.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Ward of Fancy Farm, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Mackenzie Coffey of Fancy Farm, Kentucky and Madison West and husband Javin of Clinton, Kentucky; three great grandchildren, Burkely Coffey, Kohen West and Brenlyn Coffey also expected great grandchild, Briella West; also, several Nieces and Nephews and care givers, Janeen Burkeen, Dawn Brandon and Tammy Robinson.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Murray City Cemetery. Bro. Jim Stahler will officiate and burial will follow. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. till 12 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
