Mrs. Sharon Ann Jackson, age 79, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 5, 2026, at her home.
Mrs. Jackson was born on February 19, 1947, in Morganfield, Kentucky, to the late John B. Adams and Mary (Cunningham) Adams. She retired as a nurse after 38 years at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Russell Chapel United Methodist Church, as well as the Adult Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Jackson; as well as three brothers, John Wayne Adams, Kenneth “Dan” Adams, and Phillip Lynn Adams.
Survivors include her daughter, Carla Ann Jackson of Murray, Kentucky; one grandson, William Adam Church of Murray, Kentucky; companion, Jerry Hicks of Murray, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Alice Adams of Owensboro, Kentucky; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Rev. Kerry Lambert and her grandson, William Church will officiate, with burial to follow in the Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
