Mr. Daniel "Dan" Eugene Rinehart, 71, of Cadiz, KY, originally of Mattoon, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2026 at Passion and Purpose Senior Living.
Dan was involved in his community and had a great love for nature, animals, and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, hunting, and spending time off-roading in his Jeep.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lee Hackney (Troy) of Rougemont, North Carolina; his son, Brett Daniel Rinehart (Alex) of Durham, North Carolina; and his granddaughters, Brooke Danielle Hackney and Lily Grace Hackney.
A loving father and grandfather, Dan will be remembered for his independent spirit, his love of the outdoors, and the many memories he leaves with his family and friends.
