Calloway County bridges reopen as other KYTC road projects continue

MURRAY – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet released a traffic impact report for Calloway County and the following locations that will experience road closures or lane restrictions lasting June 7 to 12.
Lane restrictions
KYTC will implement a lane restriction on KY 1483/Bethel Road, north of KY 80 in Calloway County as early as Monday, June 8, weather permitting. Crews will conduct maintenance and ditch work between KY 80 and Elm Grove Road. The roadway is expected to reopen the same day.
KY 121 at mile point 5.25, near New Concord — one lane, alternating traffic with 11-foot restriction. The project is expected to conclude next year.
Bridge rehabilitation/replacement
KY 1836/Downing Road is closed at mile point 8.31, north of KY 464/Backusburg Road – The project is expected to conclude at the end of June, weather permitting.
Graham Road is closed at mile point 1.48 between KY 80 and KY 121, south of Poor Farm Road — Paving is scheduled. The project is estimated to conclude at the end of June, weather permitting.
KY 94 is closed at mile point 6.44, between KY 783 and Hudson Road/Oaks Country Club Road, west of Murray — The project is estimated to conclude at the end of July, weather permitting.
KYTC also announced in a press release the bridges on Potts and Clayton Town roads have reopened after nearly two months and about $1 million of road work as part of the County-City Bridge Improvement Program.

But Charley Miller Road remained closed after missing its rebuilding start date twice, and costing about $500,000. Repaving its bridge going over Wade’s Creek began Friday. According to KYTC, the roadway is expected to open by the end of the day.
KYTC urges motorists to watch for signs and flaggers in the work zone.
