Second Chance Workforce has received a community grant from Barnhart Crane & Rigging, one of North America’s leading heavy lift and heavy transport companies. Barnhart Project Engineer Lucas Medley presented the check during a recent visit, offering encouragement and partnership to the growing Western Kentucky nonprofit.

Founded in Memphis and now operating more than 70 locations nationwide, Barnhart is known for its commitment to developing people through training, leadership, and a purpose rooted in glorifying God through constructive work. That mission aligns closely with Second Chance Workforce, which provides hands on technical training and employment readiness for individuals ready to reenter the workforce.

The grant will be used to sponsor students enrolling in classes. “Having a company of Barnhart’s size believe in our mission is both humbling and encouraging,” the organization said.
