Mr. Clark Stanley Ray, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at his home.
Mr. Ray was born to the late Clark Ray, Sr. and Darlene Boelling Ray on March 28, 1957 in Granite City, IL. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Clark was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan and loved to work on cars and travel with his wife.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and one sister.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of almost 49 years, Mrs. Cindy Ray of Murray; a daughter, Tiffany Ray (Shaun Lawrence) of Wood River, IL; one sister, Donna Dell of Edwardsville, IL and his cherished fur babies, Yadi, Buddy and Sissy. Also, he leaves behind two beloved fur grandbabies, Leonard and Simon.
A private family service with military honors will be held in Illinois.

William (Billy) Thomas Forres

Mr. William (Billy) Thomas Forres, age 71 of Hazel, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin, Tennessee.
He was born on December 13, 1953, in Murray, Kentucky to the late William and Nowata King Forres. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Forres and his brother-in-law, Gary Taylor.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Sammie Smock of Hazel, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Austin Crass, Blake Crass, Savannah Crass, Kami Smock, and Jullisa Mianoway; a sister, Peggy Taylor of Hazel, Kentucky; three nephews, Greg Taylor and wife Kristin of Murray, Kentucky, Charles Taylor and wife Angela of Murray, Kentucky, and John Taylor and wife Christine of Highland, Illinois; as well as his best friend, “Shiner”.
For many years Billy worked with his father at the U-Tote-Em grocery store in Hazel and later worked in construction. Billy was an avid golfer participating in many tournaments throughout the area. When Billy passed, he was doing what he loved to do best. He was playing golf when he suffered a heart attack. Billy was a friend to all and will be missed by the Hazel community.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Charles Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Mrs. Joy Miller-Lawson, age 63, of Puryear, Tennessee, earned her wings on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at her home.
Joy was born on July 14, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Charles Edison Miller and Marie (Byers) Miller. She was a former manager at Big Lots.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merrit Lawson; as well as three brothers, Bill, Tom, and James Glass.

Mr. Michael Joe Bolen, 65, of Murray, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Bolen was born to the late Okey Hub Bolen and Joanna Cadle Bolen on February 29, 1960 in Chicago, IL. He attended Murray State University as a Outdoor Recreation and Biology major. He loved being outdoors hunting, trapping, and enjoying nature. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a two brothers, James Glen Bolen and Terry Okey Bolen.
Those left to cherish his memory is a son, Chase Bolen (Kristin) of Murray; two daughters, Chelsea Bolen of Paris, TN and Charis Bolen of Murray; two sisters, Karen Kineman (Doug) of Paducah, Tobie Allen of Paducah and one grandchild, Billie Mae Bolen-Hall. In addition, he leaves behind the mother of his children and best friend, Christina Shepherd of Murray.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Imes Funeral Home, 311 North 4th Street, Murray.

Mrs. Nancy Carolyn Patterson, 76, of Murray, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at her home.
Nancy was born to the late Nathan and Grace Gilbert McCoy on May 22, 1949 in Paducah, KY. Mrs. Patterson was a very dedicated mother and grandmother and showed kindness and love to all she knew. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents a nd her husband of 41 years, Mr. Charles Patterson.
Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include her sons, Scottie, Patrick and Paul Patterson; a brother, Doug McCoy; sisters, Dorothy Vanway, Barbara McCormick, Debbie Dudley, Kathy White; grandchildren, Allison, Stevie, Kent, Latasha, Alexandria and Mariah.
